Introduction

The Greeting Cards Digital Golden product is designed to simplify pricing for digitally printed greeting cards using a Grid UI. By combining quantity, stock/sides, and card size into a configurable pricing matrix, the system automatically returns the correct selling price based on the selections made during quoting.

Steps

Step 1 – Open the Greeting Cards Digital Product
  1. Navigate to Settings → Products.
  2. Locate and open Greeting Cards Digital.
  3. Review the product configuration page.

This product is built using the Grid UI, which functions like a mini spreadsheet to manage pricing combinations.

Step 2 – Understand the Grid Structure
  1. Open the Grid section of the product.
  2. Review the three pricing data points:
    • Quantity
    • Stock and Sides
    • Size
  3. Note how these values form the pricing matrix.

In this configuration:

  • Quantity represents the spreadsheet rows.
  • Stock and Sides represents the spreadsheet columns.
  • Size acts as the third pricing dimension.

Each combination produces a unique selling price.

Step 3 – Review Grid Display Options
  1. Locate the available grid display settings.
  2. Review the available options:
    • Show Cost Column
    • Use Unit Quantity Breakpoints
  3. Enable Show Cost Column when you want to view production costs alongside selling prices.

For greeting cards, quantity breakpoints are typically not used because products are commonly sold in production quantities such as:

  • 100
  • 250
  • 500
  • 1,000

Rather than individual units.

Step 4 – Add New Pricing Variables
  1. Within the Grid UI, locate the green links used to add new values.
  2. Add additional:
    • Quantities
    • Stock and Side combinations
    • Greeting Card Sizes
  3. Save your changes as needed.

This allows the pricing matrix to expand as additional products and options become available.

Step 5 – Export the Grid for Bulk Editing
  1. Scroll to the bottom of the Grid page.
  2. Click Export Grid.
  3. Download the generated CSV file.
  4. Open the file in Excel or a spreadsheet application.
  5. Update pricing values as needed.
  6. Save the CSV file.

Exporting is often the fastest method when updating multiple pricing combinations at once.

Step 6 – Import Updated Pricing
  1. Return to the Grid page.
  2. Select the option to Import Grid.
  3. Upload the updated CSV file.
  4. Confirm the import.

The imported file will overwrite the pricing values stored in the grid.

Step 7 – Test Pricing Using Check Pricing
  1. Click Check Pricing.
  2. Select a Quantity.
    • Example: 500
  3. Select a Stock and Sides option.
    • Example: Full Color Front and Back
  4. Select a Size.
    • Example: A6 (9 × 6)
  5. Review the calculated selling price.

The system automatically retrieves pricing from the grid based on the selected combination.

🔹 Tip: Use the Grid UI for products that require multiple pricing variables and complex quantity combinations.

🔹 Tip: Exporting the grid to Excel is significantly faster than manually editing large numbers of pricing cells.

🔹 Tip: Keep naming conventions consistent for sizes, stocks, and quantity levels to make maintenance easier.

⚠️ Warning: Importing a CSV will overwrite existing grid pricing values. Always keep a backup of your exported file before making large changes.

⚠️ Warning: Ensure CSV formatting remains unchanged when editing in Excel, otherwise import errors may occur.
